I'm on vacation this week with a lot of boys - visiting family and spending three days at SunRiver in Central Oregon - it's one of my favorite things to do EVER!
We stopped overnight with my parents/sister on Sunday - and I took advantage of some free time early yesterday morning to take a quiet walk in the garden with my camera. Everything is in full bloom right now - it's beautiful!
With the abundance of PRODUCE - there is all kinds of canning & freezing & drying of goods happening - all to be enjoyed during the colder months. Pickles (standard, along with beets and beans), apple sauce (& apple pie & dried apples & apple everything!), zuchinni relish, sun dried tomatoes - it's awesome!
Someday I'll have a garden of my own and make jams & jellies and relishes myself. Someday. For today I'm enjoying all the treats coming my way . . . with so much gratitude.
I a so glad you took some time to take those lovely pictures!
Me, the permanent witness of all this beauty.
